I have tried to start it from the tomcat bin folder startup.bat file and i have tried to tried to start it up from the DOS command line also. When i try to start from the cmd line i get an error stating that my CATALINA_HOME variable is set correctly. Now i a User Variable set in my enviromentel variable and my system variable.I dont know if i have set correctly or what. And i was wondering did i have to go into the conf.folder and make some change in web xml file.So there it is if their is anyone who can help me i would appreciate it alot. Now the error that i am getting is that my CATALINA_HOME variable is not set correctly. Thank you all.

Tue, February 8, 2005 - 12:38 AMwell...what exactly is your CATALINA_HOME variable set to? is it set correctly or is it NOT set correctly? your post is ambiguous.
check it in the system settings, and/or from DOS with
set
then scroll up and look for the CATALINA_HOME
